This five day seminar is an introduction to the New Code of NLP and is an Applications seminar and is exclusively targeted at development of CHOICE in the contexts in the lives of the participants of this seminar.

The New Code of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was initiated just over 20 years ago by John Grinder and Judith Delozier. Since that beginning, John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St. Clair have created distinctions, refined and tested patterning and have continuously developed what is now a radical extension of some of the principles of the classic code of NLP and which also embodies an entirely new set of patterning (see Whispering in the Wind by Bostic and Grinder for a presentation of these patterns). This set of patterns – the New Code – offers a precise and highly effective way of introducing into any context in the client’s life a set of options that imply an impressive range of flexibility in confronting the opportunities and challenges of modern life.

The New Code pursues an alarmingly simple strategy: in the New Code, there are many games and activities – each one of which is designed to develop in the player a set of choices about how to respond to the opportunity or challenges. These choices are generated by inviting the player to establish a focused and precise representation (images and sounds) of the context into which they wish to introduce choice; the player then engages in one of the New Code games or activities – the consequence of doing this activity is the creation in the player of a high-performance state. This high-performance state is then connected to the context (especially its sensory charactetistics) such that when the player re-enters that context (or any context that shared a significant overlap at the sensory level with that context), the high-performance state is re-activated and new choices begin to flow from that state.

This hierarchy is a set of descending leverage points that allows the user/player to use the phenomenon above to positively impact and alter the phenomenon below. For example, if the player wishes to shift physiology, this can be easily accomplished by changing breathing – if the player wishes to shift state, this can be readily accomplished by changng physiology and most important for its application to change work, if the player wishes to shift their performance (and the quality of their experience in that performance), this is cleanly accomplished by changing physiology. All this is accomplished without any reliance on conscious processes so that the shift in perfomrance is accomplished without any reliance on conscious process .

There are a number of precise differences between the classic and the New Code of NLP: among these (and writing for people who have already experienced some classic code training) – these include:

Congruent participation in this five day seminar will yield the participant a generative set of process choices – ones that they can apply to their experience in any context in their lives and, if desired, offer to others. With the initial mastery of these patterns, the player/participant will have the process CHOICES to shift the quality of their experience in whatever context they desire.
